Issue #343 - 2018-02-19 - Grants and Crowd funding of Perl projects

Hi there,
You might know the Perl Tutorial on the Perl Maven site I've written during the past 6 years.
It needs some updating and I'd like to get some funding. Instead of asking for a TPF grant, I'd prefer to get you support me directly.
So I launched a crowd funding campaign. Please support it!
Enjoy your week!

Useful article, but unfortunately the code examples do not follow some of the basics of good practices such as using 'strict' and having proper indentation.

Back in the day, the Wombles of Wimbledon collected rubbish. Nowadays, since the advent of motorised road sweepers, they’d be in need of a new profession. Perl Developer, perhaps? Our client is based in the heart of Wimbledon, under a mile away from the Common where the Wombles famously made their home.

Have you ever worked for a company with a micromanagement style, where a boss was constantly breathing down your neck? Do you hate spending more time in meetings about product requirements than actually getting on with building the product?

Ever find yourself wishing you could see meaningful impact on users from your work? Trapped in a company with long release cycles and dubious release dates? Wish your ideas for product improvement didn’t keep disappearing in to the Project Manager’s backlog?
