  The Perl DBI driver for MySQL and MariaDB is going to have a new release. If it is important to you, test it!
• 2016.10.03 in #272 SECURITY RELEASE - Buffer overflow in DBD::mysql perl library
  A buffer overflow vulnerability in DBD::mysql has been fixed
• 2016.11.28 in #280 Security release - use after free in DBD::mysql when using prepared statements
  A security issue was discovered in DBD::mysql, fixed in version 4.041. If you're using prepared statements with MySQL, update as soon as possible.
• 2017.03.02 in #293 A new release of DBD::mysql
  Michiel announces a new developer release of DBD::mysql, with improved handling of UTF-8, and lots of other improvements. He's looking for more testing, and if that doesn't turn up anything bad, then a non-developer release will come this week.
